Your direction is most important than your speed

Hey, today, I participated in a fun-run to celebrate the love month. It went successfully. I got my medal and I had been taking photos to those who wants pictures. Of course using their phones.

I was like a volunteer, and it made me feel so useful. I was only standing there because I want someone to take a photo of me, but I’m too shy to ask them, because they seemed so busy. Can’t ruin their fun.

Anyways, I’m so happy! I finally got my photos taken. Patience, patience, patience. I finally got the courage in the end. The result was fantastic. Hey, look at this!

oh.. isn’t she pretty? I’m happy to see me happy. She deserves a loyal husband, who will make her feel like it’s only her, and she’s my priority before others.

Anyways, it wasn’t an easy journey. Before that happened, I went through hell. So that smile is really deserving. Here’s what happened.

“I woke up, prepared myself, then come out from my room, but couldn’t come out from the house, because it was locked outside.

I couldn’t open it. No relatives around. My mother’s at her other house. My neighbors asleep, and I couldn’t ask for their help; so I twisted something for me to come out.

I’m luckily very resourceful. Though it took almost 30 minutes to open it; but you know what, I didn’t gave up, I find ways. Someone’s locked up as well and couldn’t help me, so he helped me through believing in me through chat, hahahah. Of course! I already knew. I’ll end up helping me! Unexpectedly, I came out! He’s surprised. You see, I can do it!

I wasn’t able to pull it off, but I managed to twist it that I am able to come out. Again, my goal was to be at the venue on time. I found ways. But even if the first obstacle was solved, I still couldn’t get a cab, that it took around 20 minutes.

And soon as I came to the venue by taking a cab going to the different direction, jumping off the nearby street; there’s someone waiting for me, wanting to pay my race kits, because she couldn’t run without it.

I almost said “yes,” but I realized how much struggles I have to go through just to get there. I almost lost my chance of getting my medal. The thing that I really wanted to collect.

You see, saying “NO” is powerful. Know your goals, don’t let others take what is yours because you really work hard for it. If it will be given to others, what about you. Respect yourself.

Even if you know, how slow you are; even if it is just for fun, you’re deserving. Keep going. Start from the buttom. Take it slowly, learn about your self; know your limits, push harder when you’re almost there.

But my point is, as long as you know the finish line, have fun and keep moving. Even if you have to do it on your own. I wasn’t able to meet my FunRun buddy. It was a blessing, because nobody stopped me. I was focused.

As long as you know the direction, keep going; don’t let others stop you from getting what you really want to have. It doesn’t matter how slowly it will take, as long as you’re winning in the end.

Trust the process, never let your fear of judgement stopped you from achieving your goals. Even if how slow your progress is. Just keep going.
