I feel lighter today, I hope you’re doing the same!

Did you know that Alicia Panoramic View have been my favorite place to go, trek and take photos? Well, I finally did all of that. I went there the other week on my rest days. It was a long land travel, a long hike up to the peak downhill, and a long rainy night with the Angels.
It’s been a while since I posted and I’d like to share lots of things I’m so thankful and grateful for. One of which is Alicia Panoramic View. The place is located in Alicia, Bohol- far from the known ports such us Tagbilaran and Tubigon.
To get to Alicia Public Market (Meeting Place):
- I took a Van bound to Carmen Bus Stop, then waited for a bus heading to Ubay and asked the driver to drop me off at Alicia Public Market where my friends are waiting- I never thought they’ll wait for me because they’ll be late for the sunset (there was no sunset, good choice) but they did and for that I’m so thankful and grateful with, I thought I will be hiking solo again! I’ve finally trekked with a group for the 2nd time! Hoping this is only the beginning!
From Cebu:
- I took a 10 AM ferry to Tubigon, Bohol. It took around 2 hours travel time since I arrived past 12 PM at the port, took a tricycle to Tubigon Bus Terminal- I traveled solo before meeting them because we had different work schedules and I lived in the other island, it also took 2 hours travel back and into the ferry boat in Cebu. It’s nice to be included.
I was able to connect with my mates for the first time, when it comes to this kind of adventure. We understand its importance and we’re kind of like in the same boat. We had so much fun and I’m happy that I get along with them despite of our age differences. I’m not obviously older but I am.
We were together from the public market going to TAPP- registration area. We also rented walking sticks that looked like canes to help us ascend and descend without falling. We can also buy noodles, drinks and some chocolates. You can rent a tent but it’s advisable to bring your own because you can be assured that it’s waterproof. I brought mine, which I bought from decathlon and I had no issues.
From the registration area, you can trek towards the starting point or you can get a single motorcycle. The team rented a motorcycle all the way from Tubigon to Alicia and I joined them from Alicia Public Market to the registration, towards the starting point. It was awesome!
Going back 10 years ago:
I visited Bohol twice about 10-12 years ago when I was on my 20’s. Twenties was quite confusing full of fear of doing things alone and ended up dating with the wrong people with hidden agendas that made me feel so disappointed. I had traumas back in Bohol because I was naive and unaware. It wasn’t totally their fault but mine, I wasn’t ready and totally aware of their nature. I thought about friendships and they’re thinking about other things.
Being back after 10 years, travelling solo going to Bohol and meeting up with friends and having fun with them was a dream that I planted 10 years ago. It happened now and it’s so healing! This is the right thing! This is the thing that I wanted to experience 10 years ago! I am so glad that I gave myself another chance. It’s the same feeling that I also experienced when I was given the chance to work in the industry I am in right now (from a trauma to healing).

You too have a lot of things to be thankful and grateful for. I wouldn’t be surprised if I’ll meet someone to marry anytime soon. I learned so many lessons and I’m willing to put it into practice, I just need a little push just like how “Addie” pushed me to joined Alicia Panoramic View, and I am so thankful and grateful that I said “Yes” in the end. I really really wanted to go, I just have so much to consider.
So next adventure, I am saying “Yes” specially if I really really really wanted to go, “Mt. Apo?” “Mt. Pulag?” Mt. Apo is on December! We already have a schedule, thanks to “Shayne!” Did not gave up on me, I figured out what the issue was! I finally plotted leaves for the trek.
Last year, 2024 was my super grown up year where I had to travel to Bukidnon, camp and trek solo with guides, visited their tourists spots, travelled to Davao on a Bus, Booked a hotel solo, walked at the park, visited the crocodile farm, sent my stuffs via LBC package, and took a flight solo going home; also hiked from Mactan Cebu International Airport going home, because- I had to fall in line to get a cab, and I’m so thrifty to get a taxi- I want to hike!
Oh! That was quite an adventure! Wow! I never thought I had those moments! Oh, and this year, I went to Camp Adela solo, Trek to Mt. Manunggal solo, Visited West 35 solo. I think I had so much this year! Oh, and I played badminton after a decade, a lot of those things are crazy. Oh and I remember joining IPI Run 21km with a friend I met 10 years ago on my first job ever! Oh, and I had lunch with my college mates with their family! I’m so proud of it!
Incoming birthday of mine this August! Let’s see where I’m heading! Horse back riding! Trekking to Mt. Kulago! Waterfalls hopping, CEDAR! Malaybalay Bukidnon! I’m excited! I’ll check on it when the time comes! See you, everybody! ποΈ
