Kalmaegi covered few houses in Cebu; cars and houses buried in the muds including humans. We are still searching for those who have been missing; now “FungWung” as bigger as the Philippines is coming.
Deforestation causes landslides; Sierra Madre who’s protecting Luzon has an ongoing Mine operation. It could cover houses, buildings, humans, etc. I am safe and the rest have recovered so fast in Cebu, resuming all operations, having fun, like nothing happened.
I am so sad that it came to this. We cannot blame anyone but we could have prevented it, if only we prioritized Earth Ecosystem. We’re destroying our home planet to satisfy ourselves without thinking about its long term effect. This is crazy! Cebu is in Signal #1 as of today and it’s raining slowly but the raindrops are strong.
Typhoon FungWong hasn’t even entered Philippine Responsibility yet. I was outside trying to get to work and I saw lightings under the big moon; it’s so scary. Due to heavy traffic and fully packed vehicles, I cannot report to work. What happened to Cebu and some part of the Visayas- floating cars, people on their roofs, missing bodies, buried bodies; it’s all traumatizing.
Thinking about what could happen to Luzon and the Visayas before and after the landfall really scares me even if we’re so far from them and I know for sure that the “Lord” will protect us. It’s terrifying this time. I haven’t been so scared of other typhoons in 2013, this time it’s getting worse.
I feel scared of what could happen in the future if this continues: the earthquakes, the typhoons- this could lead to the scariest “Apocalypse.” I’m never been scared of movies about Apocalypse but now I can feel the worlds hunger and it felt so scary to go out; I feel like people can go too far to survive. I hope we will all be guided to just relax and surrender everything to the Lord, that we may live by water, rest and hope 🙏
I pray that the restless will find rest in the Lord, will learn to fast to survive the famine without killing each other for food. The Lord said in Matthew 4:4 “It is written, ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.’”
May we learn to meditate to replenish our energy, and water will be enough to nourish our body. As long as we don’t resort to violence for survival but of prayers and hope for a new world to rise, for if there is End, there is beginning. May we return to the Lord and pray for guidance, clarity of mind, wisdom and most of all peace within ourselves.
