I wonder if that friend is still a friend. I think, only true love last a distance.
I learned a lesson: If you want to be happy, focus on your happy thoughts.
If you want to be sad, focus on sad thoughts. But if you want to be motivated, focus on motivating thoughts.
The choice is up to us. We exactly know what to do next after knowing what we really want to feel.
