This week ends well with this powerful message from Neil. He said, “The key to success is to relax.” Isn’t that true? I believe so. I think I will be attending a gathering later.
Life is an adventure, we must spend it well with the people we trust; and the people were going to surround ourselves with from day one to our retirement days.
And just like how we build each other’s trust, we also have to learn to trust ourselves; like how I trusted that motorcycle driver to bring me to my destination.
“Yesterday, there was a heavy rain; traffic was heavy and cabs were full of passengers I couldn’t get a Jeepney spot. Even if I would, I would still be stuck due to heavy traffic.
I decided to just walked through the Mactan New bridge, then I stopped at the bus stop, hoping to get an extra seat. I saw a single motorcycle, and as soon as I was going to ask the driver to bring me to IT Park, a lady starts asking him to bring take her first.
It was an indirect rejection, but that’s fine; I decided to stay a little bit and waited. My patience was really at its highest. I have to be patient for me. The Bus really came and allowed me to get in, even though I am standing.
I decided to get out because I know I’m going to be stuck again. I walked again towards the bus stop then I saw an Angkas driver; I asked him if he could drive me to IT park, he politely said, “No, I already have a booking.” I was so disciplined not to bribe him with money.
He’s so kind that he advised me to ask the other motorcycle driver to drive me, so I did; but he’s not really driving, he enjoyed his time with her daughter. He advised me to wait next to road; I listened and followed.
Minutes later, a happy man wearing yellow, with his motorcycle arrived. I thought she was going to drive the lady before me, but she refused and gave him to me. Later on, he asked me if she was my companion, the same question the Angkas driver asked the lady if I was her companion.
Giving chance for others before you really do come back. Trusting your instincts really help you get to your destination on time.
My driver was very kind, that I offered him more than the ordinary pay for a motorcycle ride; he was entertaining my questions and he was very professional at driving. Atleast, I arrived safe at IT Park and I was not late.
I realized that, if you’re not going to make your money work for you, you’re not going anywhere. In order to get what you want, you must also be smart in using your money. I could have spent my 250 and still did not reach to my destination. I would have fallen short.
Before I decided to just walk at the bridge; there was a guy who took advantage of the traffic and ask me 250; but I did not allow time to pressure me, and besides I didn’t like his tone of voice. It sounds like someone who’s tricking me. I trusted my instincts.
The safest way to live in this life is to trust yourself, to relax and wait for a bit; never rush on things. Always be kind and let those people who needed it the most take it first. Or if you’re not being chosen, then it’s okay, just move on; someone will give you that right person.
Some rejections and disappointments are just redirection. Go where you’re happy!
