Preparedness and Consistency: These are the two key players for a successful goal!
If you ever start pursuing your dreams, don’t you ever think of giving up now, because once you do, “It’s the end of it all.” Once you think, the body follows, so always think forward, always keep going, no matter how many times you fail, just think of starting over! The key is to keep going/moving, be consistent in everything that you do. Think again and again, just don’t give up yet.
Don’t you ever stop, just keep learning and doing new things. It’s like learning from your mistakes by doing things right the second time around. If it’s hard to do it all at once, then start little. Do it chunk by chunk and start now. For example, I wanted to summit the highest mountain in the Philippines, so I started gathering the needed things I need to bring, I didn’t buy it all at once. I did it piece by piece.
Start with the schedule, filing your leaves; reserving a slot in the event, booking flights and then buying those survival kits, the gears. Time moves so fast, that’s why it’s important to start now, start little, just do something about it; don’t just wait for others to do it for you, because it’s not going to happen; even if you have supportive parents, you still have to do your own research.
It’s not a valid reason to not do it because no one supports. Believe me, along the way, someone will support you and most of the time it’s not one from your circles nor the people that you know; not your families nor anyone, but YOU. The rest will follow. You’ll meet like-minded people who have the same goals, fears that they’re working on; they’ll give you insights and they’ll be there for you.
If you want to do it in the future dates, then do your research about your destination and the journey itself so you know what to prepare. Always be prepared/ready in all ways. Do not go into the battle untrained, without the required gears. It’s better to be over-prepared than not being prepared at all, you only have one life. Do not compare yourself to others who have been there and think it’s easy, because there is no easy way on your first attempts.
Choose growth over mediocrity, be consistent with what you do, that’s the only way to improve, to grow, and to become good at something. My master once said, “go beyond your limits.” You set those limits, only you can breakthrough it! Most limitations came from false beliefs, others opinions that you believe overtime without proof. Prove them wrong! You know yourself better than anyone else who think you can’t based on their own judgement.
I have completed the Mt. Apo (Highest Peak In The Philippines) backtrail because of my consistent weekly practice in Cebu, for the whole month of December, 2025 and beginning of January 2026. I did it alone in the last few weeks but I received support and guidance from the person I’ve met end of November 2025. We have no connections, only the same passion. He was really helpful too and I’m so thankful and grateful for that “Organic Encounter.” I also thank those people who have allowed me to join them!
