Look at the BIG Picture

“Look at the BIG Picture.” That’s what my economics teacher always reminded us. At first, I did not understand, I didn’t understand what he meant. He just want us to look at the big picture and I guess I am slowly getting it and I will apply my understanding with Odette PH.

After Odette PH, Visayas turn to Generators, Solar, Radios, deep-wells, all the basics to survive. We went on signal searching just like before. It’s so hot outside searching for food and water. Expensive yes, but it was also scarce. The scarcity of resources with increase in demand, makes the prices go up!

It’s always the pattern, my economics teacher was right, I have experienced it. I knew it coming. I was relaxed not shocked because I knew. Even before Odette comes, I knew it was the strongest because I have read it’s stronger than Typhoon Yolanda back in 2013. Some things we knew it’s going to happen. It’s good, because atleast we are emotionally ready for it…

… but even if I did, I still felt my neighbors emotional sufferings. I am so lucky that my place was covered and protected.. strong prayers always gets heard, believe it! I have been there many times, spared many times, heard many times; just listen πŸ‘‚, there’s always a clue before events happen, to listen is the key to be ready.

They may not have the intuition I have nor the faith I have built strongly in me; we are still connected somehow. Thus, despite still not having Electricity and Water Supply at home, I am still happy because my neighbors already had it. I am very thankful and grateful that I can see progress, I can see the BIG change. Now it’s easy and near to find charging stations. I can charge phones at my neighbor’s place. Drinking water station is only meters away from me now, compared before.

Looking at the BIG Picture, everything will be back to where it was; slowly but surely. It is guaranteed! I hope everybody learned the lessons. For some, Odette was just a typhoon, but for me and you, it’s a lesson. It started from signal number 1 and it hit straight to number 4. It’s a big sign not to underestimate anything nor anyone that appears weak and slow; although it has been predicted. It’s a call to trust Science for everyone to be prepared.

This reminds me of our President Rodrigo Duterte, from being a mayor to being president; only the strongest can do such a big leap and it’s kinda scary but it’s what the philippines needed. I strongly believe that everything happened for a reason; just like how calm the vaccination sites before vaccines was first released; yet around NOV 2021, in LLC, the vaccination sites were flooded. Just like how Noah called for the people to get into the ship because of the upcoming flood, a lot was skeptical, and then when it finally happened, they changed their minds. Psychology can explain it of course. It’s a battle of faith and trust.

Looking at the big PICTURE, there is always a rainbow after a heavy rain. There is hope after every losses. There is always going to be rise and fall and it’s normal. We have the right to relax and just trust, have faith that everything will be all right because nothing is permanent, everything changes and it’s the only constant in this evolving world.
