I only heard of Mt. Naupa and I thought of one day trekking there. I never thought I would really find someone who’s going to come with me in that adventure.
Thanks to C***e! I would not have met them if I wasn’t chosen. I never thought I will be given the chance, I just hope they will let me in so that I can learn while working and be surrounded by people like me. A dream I once had back in college; learn and work was finally manifested.
Going back- I opened up to a workmate about my desires and luckily we shared the same interests; One of which is trekking! We decided to visit Mt. Naupa and it was a successful adventure: I learned wisdom, were not lost, we’re home safe, I’m proud of us!
We’re maybe new to the place but we never hesitated to climb up even if it was not an easy trail because you’ll have to keep reminding yourself to not turn right nor left, just follow one trail up! Gladly, we’re blessed by locals guiding us in every turn we take.
Positive mindset is a virtue, this mindset kept us going even if we do not know what lies ahead. All we did was follow the trail up and let it guide you to Mt. Naupa. We have never hesitated to ask questions and we listened to each other’s needs. There was teamwork. We did it because we’re there for each other, we uplift each other and we keep going.
It’s fun to step up solo but it’s more fun if you’re with someone! I’ll forever be thankful and grateful to everyone I’ve met who made me feel validated and supported. I have met them because I opened up my mind to a possibility of meeting them and I was impressed of the result.
There’s no two same person; we’re all unique in one way or two and meeting them made my dream came true. I have finally found the people I hoped to be surrounded with; and it’s funny how different we are from each other and yet we’re still connected, in the name of respect and understanding (by listening to their stories).
Going back- One thing I learned from that trek is to keep an open mind (right is not always right/what was in the past may no longer BE as it is now), to always be open for change and to keep going. We hoped and hoped were already there, because we never knew the place and everything is this world is temporary, everything is changing.
We we’re told that Mt. Naupa’s peak had changed, there’s a newly developed place and I was very curious and eager to see the end point of our trail (which was never the end point, because when the trail ends, a new one begins; it’s a pattern that never ends, just have fun and keep going).
The golden lesson I can share in that adventure is:
“If you’re not seeing the Greenest Pasture yet, then you’re not there yet; keep going until you see the garden where the flower blooms! Go through the pastures and keep going until you’re finally there!” Rest and go on with your next destination!
We went to Ubong Spring in Dalaguete afterwards. Watch the video and laugh with us 🤭 🤣 Nang hitch diay me Pauli 🤣🤣🤣 That’s was really funny and the best adventure ever! NO LIMITS!
